Task killers for Android are all the rage – they’re programs that claim to improve the performance of your smartphone by automatically killing processes that are determined to be using up too much of your system’s resources.
However, we highly recommend that you not use task killers on your Android phones. Android already has a great system for making sure that your phone’s resources are being properly utilized out of the box. Further, many apps do not take kindly to being killed off by a third party program – they can become slow to launch (because they’re having to recover from the equivalent of a crash) or their data can be corrupted by the sudden loss of resources.
